Frequently Asked Questions
Alizés évasion ✦ Guadeloupe
Booking online is the only way to guarantee your spot. Paying by secure credit card confirms your booking straight away and you’ll receive a confirmation email.
You can also come directly to the port of Sainte-Rose on the day you’d like to go and pay in cash or by card, but availability is not guaranteed. If the boat is full or the minimum number of participants hasn’t been reached, you’ll be offered the chance to book online for another date.
Yes, you can request to change the date, subject to availability. Contact us by email at contact@alizes-evasion.com or by WhatsApp at +33 6 90 18 88 10, letting us know your email address and the new date you’d like.
Trips are confirmed once 8 passengers have booked. If this number isn’t reached 24 hours before departure, the trip may be postponed to a later date.
In that case, we’ll contact you as soon as possible and you can choose between rebooking another time slot or a full refund.
Trips depend on weather and sea conditions. The captain has sole authority to decide whether a trip goes ahead or is cancelled for safety reasons.
If the captain cancels the trip, you’ll be offered a full refund or a rebooking for a later date.
Yes, directly from your customer account, under the following conditions:
Up to 48 hours before the trip: full refund.
Less than 48 hours before the trip: no refund.
In duly justified cases of force majeure, the situation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
The Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin lies within the Guadeloupe National Park, a protected natural area. Because of this, a mandatory environmental tax — known as the Barnier tax — applies to every passenger sailing in this zone.
It costs €1 per person. It isn’t included in the price paid online and is collected on board on the day of the trip, in cash only. Please bring exact change.
Ideally yes — not being able to swim makes some water activities harder to enjoy, and it would be a shame to stay on board during the swimming stops.
It’s essential to let the captain know if you can’t swim, before boarding, so they can adjust the trip and keep you safe.
Yes, but pregnancy must be reported to the captain before boarding, due to the risks involved in sailing (boat movement, sea conditions).
This allows the captain to adjust the trip and, if necessary, reserve the right to refuse boarding if safety cannot be guaranteed.
We also encourage you to let us know in advance by email or WhatsApp.
Any particular medical condition (back problems, heart problems, dizziness, ongoing treatment, etc.) must be reported to the captain before boarding.
We encourage you to let us know in advance by email at contact@alizes-evasion.com or by WhatsApp, so we can best advise you. The captain reserves the right to refuse boarding if the safety of the person or the group cannot be guaranteed.
Free parking is available at the port of Sainte-Rose, right next to the boarding point.
No, the boat doesn’t have a toilet on board. We recommend planning ahead before boarding.
Here’s what we recommend bringing to make the most of the trip:
Sunscreen — the sun in Guadeloupe is very strong, especially in the morning. High protection is strongly recommended.
A hat or cap — the boat has a sun shade, but it doesn’t cover every spot on board.
A water bottle — fruit juice is offered on board if needed, but it’s still best to bring your own water.
A towel and a change of clothes — essential if you plan to swim.
€1 in cash per person — for the environmental tax (Barnier tax) collected on board.
The boat has a fixed sun shade covering part of the deck. It can’t be removed to use as a parasol during beach stops.
Remember to bring your own protection (hat, sunscreen) for time spent on land or in the water.
No. For legal reasons, lending or renting snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, fins) is not allowed on board.
We recommend bringing your own equipment or renting it from a specialist provider before your trip, such as La Malle du Colibri, which offers snorkeling equipment rental in Guadeloupe.
Yes, swimming is possible during the planned stops. The Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin has calm, shallow water, perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
Remember to bring your towel, a change of clothes, and your own snorkeling gear if you’d like to explore underwater.

No, smoking is strictly forbidden on board, including e-cigarettes.
